What's not to love?

I know this song is from almost 10 years ago, but I've been sleeping on Fiona Apple dismissing her as a more MTV friendly Tori Amos. I really like this song and this video.

Elephant School for the Arts?

Graeme, one of the guys I went to University with posted this on his Facebook.

I didn't know what to make of this, so I did what anyone would do, I Googled it.
Apparently the only thing they couldn't do on their own is pick up a paintbrush.

Get a Ticket outta town! - Tim

Last night we were at Tim's Art Spot and looking up all kinds of dance & circus on YouTube. Ani showed us this clip of the Chinese Acrobatic Ballet. As a group we flip-flopped between being amazed and disgusted. I settled on amazed, although I do believe there seems to be a food shortage - maybe they weren't giving the dancers their per diem?

Legendary B-Boy Frosty Freeze dies in NYC hospital at age 44

Breakdance artist Frosty Freeze dies in NYC hospital at age 44

NEW YORK — Wayne Frost, a hip-hop pioneer known as Frosty Freeze whose acrobatic performance with the legendary Rock Steady Crew in the 1983 hit movie "Flashdance" set off a worldwide breakdancing craze, died Thursday. He was 44.

Frost died at Mount Sinai Medical Center after a long illness, said Jorge (Fabel) Pabon, senior vice-president of the musical group where Frost made his name as a B-boy or breakdancer.

Frost was known for his original style, including acrobatic and fearless dance moves. He toured the world with the Rock Steady Crew and other hip-hop artists, including Fab 5 Freddy, Futura 2000 and Kool Lady Blue.

Guest Blog from Randy & Koco

Koco: I would like to admit that I myself have a secret. I'd like to divulge my secret so that I'm no longer living a lie. I'm coming clean and it feels great! I, Koco Limbevski, secretly wish that I was Secretly Canadian
Randy: Alright, with that being said, I'd like to talk about the time that I was in Canada. I really liked that fact that when I was in Toronto, I realized it really is a spotless New York. I enjoyed the nightlife, I enjoyed the food we had at the Chinese Dim Sum. It felt like there were so many different cultures there. It made me feel like I was in New York. However, I am a little upset that I didn't make it to Circa (my former employer's current venture) for that reason, and Sara's family, I will return. Not to mention, Koco heard that there's a really large Macedonian community. I'm trying to convince Koco to come with me to find a wife.
Koco: Convinced.

Japanese Impersonators perform USA for Africa's "We Are the World"

My vote is for Cyndi Lauper & Bruce Springsteen!

Crotch Burn!

This is how I spent my birthday weekend, taking "vertical dance" from Project Bandaloop in San Francisco. Anna (green), Chelsea (blonde) & I (orange) performed some of the things we learned on the trampoline wall. It's super fun dancing on a trampoline wall but sooooo painful where the harness lies on your waist & crotch.

What's Jill Doing for Earth Hour?

My favourite YA novelist Jill Murray discusses her plans for Earth Hour

1. Looting in the dark, with my trusty hemp sack and crank-powered flashlight."
